RESULTS
Water based gel solution fills moderate to severe facial lines around the nose and mouth or restores sunken cheeks, hollow eyes and facial indentations. As gel carrier is degraded, new collagen forms for long term augmentation, 12 months or longer.
TECHNIQUE
This water-based solution is injected under the skin, in a continuous stream, through a very fine needle into the areas of concern. Radiesse stimulates the body to produce new collagen, giving a natural look that lasts.
REQUIRED TIME
10 - 30 minutes, depending on the treatment and area.
OPTIMUM NUMBER OF TREATMENTS
Radiesse® can last a year or longer. Repeat treatments will help maintain the look. Though your body will absorb the gel carrier over time, collagen will start to grow in the area, replacing the gel with your own collagen.
WHAT TO EXPECT
No downtime. Discomfort is usually very mild. People usually go right back to work or normal activity post-visit.
A bruise at the injection sites may last several days. Like other injection risks, there is a slight risk of infection. Previous facial herpes simplex (cold sores) may recur with injections at the affected site. Some treatments are not recommended for breastfeeding women, or those with keloid scarring.
