Q: I’ve heard that chemical peels are the most effective to get the best result and to a deeper layer. Is one peel better than another?
A: Different peels accomplish different tasks and at Calidora we customize each of our glycolic and chemical peels depending upon your individual needs. Your skin type, age, sensitivity and desired outcomes all factor in, which is best decided with your Calidora Skinplan.
Q: I get breakouts a lot around the nose and chin. What do you recommend for treatments?
A: Get to the root of the problem with the help of our laser & light therapies. This treatment actually shrinks the sebaceous glands and destroys acne causing bacteria, similar to oral antibiotics but without the harmful toll on your body. A series of these every couple weeks will leave you blemish and scar free with a healthier complexion and healthier attitude.
Q: I have acne scars on my face and back that make me feel very self-conscious. What do you recommend?
A: The same lasers we use for wrinkle treatments work wonders on acne scarring. You may require a series of treaments to reach your desired outcome, but the collagen production should greatly soften the appearance of the scarred skin. Microdermabrasion is another technique used to buff away scars and other surface imperfections for a renewed appearance.
Q: My skin looks dull, aging and tired, I’m busy with work and am NOT the pampering type. What can you do for me?

A: Titan (Skin Tightening) is a proven process to safely (non-surgically!) use infrared light to stimulate collagen growth to tone, lift and tighten skin. This process, up to 30 minutes depending on the area, reaches deep in the dermal layer and produces long term results; two to three visits is recommended for best results.
Q: I hear about anti-aging injections all the time for wrinkles, but what’s the difference between BOTOX® and Restylane®?
A: This rhyme will help: “BOTOX® makes it still, Restylane® gets it filled.” Wrinkles are temporarily reduced by BOTOX® blocking nerve impulses to muscles where the wrinkles show. Restylane®, on the other hand, is a dermal filler where a fluid is injected to wrinkles to give skin a fuller appearance. BOTOX® and Restylane® are often used in overlapping treatments, and always by a licensed practitioner.
