Terms:

UVB rays (B = burn) are short in length and hit the skin’s surface, resulting in redness and burning. Sunburns alone aren’t the cause of skin damage; they are an immediate indication that you’re hurting yourself and a warning to get out of the sun.

UVA rays (A = aging) are long and penetrate deep into the skin, damaging cells and producing wrinkles and uneven skin tone.

Brown Spots -

UV rays excite melanocytes (the cells that give our skin color) resulting in brown spots.

What you can do: Intense pulsed light (IPL), Yag painting, chemical peels, exfoliants.

Redness -

UV exposure causes broken capillaries and may exacerbate rosacea.

What you can do: Yag Painting, Vbeam, facials.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles -

Damage to collagen and elastin causes skin to sag and crease.

What you can do: Yag Painting, Titan, chemical peels.

Big Pores -

Collagen loss causes pores to enlarge.

What you can do: Yag Painting, chemical peels, exfoliants.

Thick Skin -

The body tries to protect itself which can lead to skin becoming leathery.

What you can do: Exfoliants and chemical peels.

Please keep in mind, the most important thing that you can do to prevent sun damage, and perhaps the simplest, is wear a Broad Spectrum SPF that protects your skin against both UVA and UVB rays.
