It seems like every season my skin changes with the weather. In the spring and summer I wear more SPF to protect myself from the sun, but what should I be doing in the fall?
Allison
That’s a great question, and one that comes up every year at this time. During the fall and winter months the air gets cooler and contains less moisture. As the temperature drops you need to elevate the moisture in your skin.
The cold weather months tend to full reveal fine lines, facial discoloration and redness. This time of year a lot of our clients come in for Intense Pulsed Light Therapies to help stimulate collagen restructuring in the upper layers of their skin. Microdermabrasion is also very popular this time of the year to help freshen and repair skin that takes a beating from the harsher weather.
Regardless of the treatment regime you choose, its important to remember that the weather this time of year effects not only the face, but the hands, feet, knees and elbows as well. Be sure to take care of them all.
Truly yours,
Calidora
