Don’t forget about the sun!

Is sun damage to my skin permanent?

Its easy to remember to wear sunblock during the summer, but that doesn’t mean its any less important to wear it during the winter.

Sun can permanently damage the DNA in skin leading to skin cancer. Most people come to see us because of the visible signs of aging on their skin caused by sun damage.

We can do things to reverse the signs of aging but we can’t do it all.

If you visit Calidora after having smoked and been in the sun, been in tanning booths, and never used sun block… Can we turn you back to what you looked like back before you did all this? Unfortunately we cannot.

We can moisturize your skin, get rid of some of the browns and discoloration, and lift and tighten some of your skin. But we’re never going to make you back into what you could’ve been, if you would have protected your skin.

Look at the faces as you walk through the mall. It is obvious who has protected their skin from the sun and who has not….their age shows.
